Application & Components

Depending on the composition of the infed materials, their recipe and the required target product, the ECOCYCLING process produces a completely new, specific, stable material without any harmful eluate behaviour.

APPLICATION

This material already has all of the technical properties required to be able to produce high-quality materials with new, outstanding properties in subsequent technical processes. They are valuable aggregates for many different applications. Other product variants require further downstream processing stages in order to produce ceramic binders, fillers or fibres. These products and processes are still at the development stage.

XSOIL

Xsoil is an artificial plant substrate for the fertilization or recultivation of arid surfaces. Xsoil is made from:

On the example pictures you can see on Xsoil cultivated parts of the Weihenstephan brewery attempt, different vegetable varieties and torn lawns from the Xproducts test garden.

Xboard™

The newly developed substitute for wood – Xboard™
Xboard™ is a secondary raw material which is obtained from presorted household waste and which has been treated with suitable additives. This has led to the development of fillers with the ability to replace wood chips in the wood processing industry. The composition of the household waste is adjusted to meet the requirements of the final product.

Xboard™ is made of:

Xboard™ was tested in the laboratory by replacing 10%, 20% and 50% of the wood in the manufacture of MDF, HDF and particle boards. Independent German research institutes have performed these tests and confirmed the results.

XAGGREGATE

Xaggregate™ is a filling material used for the production of concrete-like moldings as in concrete instead of sand or gravel. Positive effects such as lower weight and higher thermal insulation are achieved. The properties are comparable to those of gas concrete.

Xaggregate™ is made of:

Conventional concrete is made from cement, aggregates (e.g. sand, gravel etc.) and water. It can contain not only approved concrete additives but also concrete admixtures. The requirement profile for the bonding agent cement is regulated in the DIN standard DIN EN 197-1. The aggregates permitted for concrete are listed in DIN EN 13055-1 and DIN EN 12620, while the concrete additives are regulated by the standards DIN EN 459-1, DIN EN 12620 and DIN EN 450. Only additives in conformance with the standard DIN EN 934-2 are permitted for use in concrete. For normal concrete, the water-cement ratio is normally between 0.5 and 0.65, the dry density is approx. 2,400 kg/m³ and thermal conductivity is approx. 2.1 W/m²K.

The environment-friendly concrete blocks contain the newly developed organic-mineral compound Xaggregate™, cement and water. The sand content in conventional concrete can be replaced in part or in full. Xaggregate™ is a newly developed aggregate made from secondary raw materials.
Depending on the mixing ratio, the dry density of an Xaggregate™ cement block varies between 830 kg/m³ and 1,200 kg/m³. In comparison with a conventional concrete block, the Xaggregate™ block shows a significantly lower dry density, reduced compression strength, a significantly lower thermal conductivity of 0.16 W/m²K, and is up to 60% lighter.
The advantages of using Xaggregate™ in building materials can be summarised as follows:

XEquipment

Stand Alone Cross Flow Shredder

The Xproducts Deutschland GmbH cross-flow shredder is a robust, maintenance-optimised and cost-efficient system for continuous shredding of various material flows (e.g. GRP/CFRP, contaminated metal, household waste, substitute fuels, composite materials, industrial waste).

The special feature of the machine is the targeted treatment of the material flows according to the requirements of the target application. Based on the unique physical processes, it separates materials with different specific densities and is robust against impurities such as metals or minerals.

A further benefit is the avoidance of 3D parts after the treatment process, which is particularly important for high-quality substitute fuel production. The system shreds the input in one step to a grain size which is determined by the variable screens in the body. Due to the grinding effect of the different materials, the efficiency is greatly increased and wear is significantly reduced.

Mobile Cross Flow Shredder

The mobile Cross-Flow Shredder designed by Xproducts Deutschland GmbH is an extremely robust shredding unit for the continuous grinding of various types of input material, from general waste to electronic scrap. The machine is constructed to minimize the wear and tear costs and to maximize the flexibility in grinding. Where metal or stones in the input material results in high maintenance costs at regular designed shredder, this machine can easily withstand these kinds of threads with no harm to the grinding tools.

Inbuild screens are defining the particle size of the output material and a simple change of screens results in a different particle size tailored to the need of the customers. The system is fitted into a container frame and has an incorporated feeding hopper as well as a buffer to release a constant and homogeneous material flow.

The mXQZ is mobile and thus quickly set-up or relocated. It is not just a component it is a SYSTEM. It comprises of an input feeding station, the grinding unit a XQZ-1600, transportation devices and a discharge bunker. It also has a build in Control Center for all the electrics and electronics required. Connect to power, drop off the input material and seconds later the ground material starts flowing.
